I see those "reaction" music videos listed on YouTube. They're are mostly black people "reacting" to classic rock. I REALLY CAN'T STATE HOW LITTLE I CARE. I have been watching videos of something called "Yesterday's Papers". It is much more interesting. It consists of contemporaneous interviews of 60s rock and pop stars regarding music at that time. Hearing Tom Jones and Jeff Beck diss Sgt. Pepper's is interesting. It's also interesting hearing stars like Mick Taylor and Jimmy Page instantly recognizing artists and records that are little to unknown today.

As for Phil Collins, I'm not a fan with the exceptions of a few songs. Tbe one you mention is one of the exceptions. What Collins did accomplish was to change the actual sound of the way drums were recorded through his use of gated reverb. It was a sea change comparable to the way Levon Helm changed the sound of drums in the 1960s. Again, thanks for the post. I enjoy them.
