I thought of another great "I'm dead and I know it" moment. It's in "Raising Arizona". Randall "Tex" Cobb plays the Biker of the Apocalypse. He wears a vest with a dozen attached grenades. My favorite " I'm dead and I know it " moment is from 1950. D.O.A. starring Edmond O'Brien. He walks into a San Francisco police station to report a murder, his own ! What follows is one of film noir's classics. O'Brien was an underrated actor of the time. My other favorites of his include the revolutionary "White Heat" starring the literally explosive James Cagney and "The Man who shot Liberty Valance" ( Casablanca done as a western.)
